This research unit focuses on sensory analysis and consumer research in order to design and develop the new textile and apparel which response to rapid changes of consumer demand. We are also interested in mechanical properties measuring by machine, comparing with subjective sensory evaluation including functional tactile and aesthetic visualization.
The research group’s area of work include:
– Relationship between mechanical properties determined by instruments and sensory analysis
– Design and development prototypes for functional clothing using sensory perception
– Textile design in which properties response to consumer demand
– Mapping of the sensory characteristics and identity of textile.
